How to divide the diamond ring?

Posted on May 10, 2022 by lufuture

Beautiful love may come from love at first sight, or from day to day, no matter what the situation is from the need for a romantic to the extreme diamond ring to express their feelings, but also because of this diamond ring, the enviable happiness will sprout, many people have doubts about the issue of how to grade a diamond ring, how to grade a diamond ring? The following is the commonly shared view.

What is the best grade of diamond? The relevant grade parameters for diamonds are weight, clarity, color, and cut.

What is the best grade of diamond

First of all, in terms of clarity, diamonds are divided into five major grades: LC, VVS, VS, SI, and P. These five major grades can be subdivided into ten smaller grades: FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, P1, P2, and P3, which are in descending order from FL-P3. The diamond’s clarity, FL is the highest clarity level.

Second, in terms of the color of the diamond, there are several standards for the color grade of a diamond: D and E are very white, F and G are excellent white, H is white, I and J are slightly yellow, K and L are light yellow-white, and M and N are light yellow. In these color grades, the grades from D to N are in descending order, so D color is the highest grade in terms of diamond color.

Finally, in terms of diamond cut, there are five main levels of diamond cut: EXCELLENT, VERY GOOD, GOOD, FAIR, and POOR. The ideal cut (EX) is the highest cut grade.

And it goes without saying that the weight of a diamond, if all other parameters are equal, is of course the larger the diamond, the higher the grade.

The price of a diamond ring grade

If you are buying a diamond ring, the price of the ring is proportional to the grade of the ring, meaning that the higher the grade of the ring, the more expensive it is. The price of a diamond ring is generally divided in this way: 40%-60% of the diamond weight, 15-20% of the clarity, 15-25% of the color, and 20-35% of the cut. For example, a 3EX cut diamond with a weight of 50 points, color E and clarity IF costs 17,791. A 3EX cut diamond with a weight of 1.01 carats, color E and clarity IF costs 80,868.
